Audrey's 5th Birthday Party ~ 7.30.11

This year we did a combined party with Audrey's friend, Kaylee whose birthday is just 2 days before Audrey's. We've never had a conflict in the years since we've known them (since before their 2nd birthdays), but this year the same weekend worked best for both of us. So, we combined and celebrated with a fun Carnival themed party!

Games -- Fishing, Horseshoes, Ring Toss, Tip the Can (with water shooters)
Pony Rides -- Real horse for bigger kids, and an option for little ones too
Bouncing Fun -- Bounce House, Trampoline, and "Body Boppers" to bounce off each other
Extra Fun -- face painting, tattoos, play set to swing and slide
Fun Food -- corn dogs, peanuts, popcorn, chips, fruit, posicles (change of plans from sno-cones), almost 100 cupcakes, and extra fun "Popcorn" cupcakes for the girls' cakes.

A big hit was the Bug Show! Ms. Cheri brought creepy crawlies of all kinds. She taught the kids about important bugs, some that are safe and not safe, and even let the kids touch some (if they dared)!

Now, you can't have a birthday party outside in July in AZ without some water to cool off, so of course we had all types of water fun--Double Bonzai Water Slides (inflatable kind), Slip-n-Slide, kiddie pool, and the good ol' sprinkler.
