Fall Happenings 2013

Halloween

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We did a LOT of searching for a Halloween costume for Owen.  He just wasn't happy with anything.  We even rummaged for hours at Goodwill.  I thought this Spongebob costume was pretty cute!  And even though he's smiling, he didn't go for it.

I planned to have Alison wear Audrey's first Halloween costume (I just covered Audrey's embroidered name) and luckily Audrey had a cute poodle skirt from a birthday party she had attended.  It worked perfectly!

Owen FINALLY decided on this Thomas costume.  That we already had at home and he had passed on MANY times.  But his Thomas candy bucket from when he was an engineer a couple years ago worked well.

Our Pumpkin Family

You know I had to do one of these!

Thanksgiving

I never really think much about taking pictures at Thanksgiving time.  Thanksgiving morning I did snap this picture of Alison watching Papa play in a football game a neighbor invited us too.  The older kids played on the playground, and Alison & I were there for the tasty Bosa Donuts! ;o) We had dinner that evening at Paul & Randee's with my side of the family.

The day after Thanksgiving we headed out to McDowell Mountain Regional Park.  We had never been, and Paul has this new found love of looking at maps and finding places to go.  This wasn't a long drive at all, so it was a nice day trip.  We decided we should get a hiking backpack for Alison after this little trip.  However, that hasn't happened and two other little trips since then we
Do you spy Alison on Paul's shoulders?

It's even harder to carry a sleeping baby while hiking.

They have a fun little playground next to picnic areas throughout the park.

Some nice people at the top of our little hike took our picture.  It was pretty sunny!

We had dinner with the Neerings side that Saturday so everyone could make it.  It was the last family get together before Paul's brother, Brian and his family moved to Atlanta for his new job.  That same evening we also went to my cousin Landi & new husband Lance's wedding reception. So, saying goodbye to family moving away and welcoming a new member into our extended family.
