The other half of summer ~ July



~4th of July~

The kids love when it's a flag holiday and the Boy Scouts put a flag in our yard for the day.



 We headed to Paul's brother Brian's house to celebrate 4th of July.  There was conversation, eating, a movie and lots of swimming.

 Aunt Rae Lynne got these fun swimming aids for the kids. 

They really helped Audrey gain some confidence back in the water.  As she has been terrified of swimming since last summer.

 

 

 Alison had her first time in a pool!  She really liked it.

We didn't go anywhere for fireworks this year.  We had some to do at Brian's and then enjoyed some from afar.

       

 

Tried to get some pictures of Alison on her first 4th and some of the kiddos together. 

Not very successful.

A friend ended up having a spare ticket to the New Kids on the Block, 98Degrees & Boyz II Men concert.  I hurried and got some things figured out for the baby and headed out.  It was fun reliving elementary school.  Yes, NKOTB was around when I was 8-10 years old.  Apparently a while after that too, but I don't remember then past that age.

We went to the Science Center again, with friends.

 Kids met our new dentist.  Bad news for Audrey, 3 cavities!  I can't believe this.  I have only had 1 in my whole life.  Apparently one is pretty bad in her adult molar, so we have an appt with a pediatric dentist to take care of it in September.  Owen was nervous when it was his turn, but he did fine and he had no cavities!
