Audrey Turns 7!

This was Audrey's year to have a friend birthday party.  We found an invitation template online that she liked and I made it for her.  She made sure it had zebra stripes, apparently she is into them all of a sudden.

She had a lot of fun picking out decorations.
Luckily there were a lot of options with zebra stripes.

The first activity she wanted was a water slide.
A friend had one we could borrow.

I suggested she have a craft when girls were done sliding and she picked making fancy flips flops.  I thought it was a great idea.  But after TONS of ribbon and cutting for days, I sort of wish we had a different craft.  They were cute though.  Each girl got to choose a pair, decorate them and take them home in a cute zebra print bag.  I made finishing directions and a little Thank You note from Audrey.

Another inside activity that Audrey loved was Just Dance 4!
Thanks to cousin Jay for letting us borrow his Wii and the game.

Of course there was food too.  Audrey wanted everyone to make their own pizzas, but as the party got closer I convinced her to let us order in.  Much easier and I didn't have to turn the oven on with all the extra bodies in the house.  Since we had pizza, I made sure we had plenty of fresh fruit, with some flavored water and Skittles that were cute because they matched.  I loved how the paper chain background turned out.  I got the idea from my cousin's bridal shower.  I also felt proud of myself for making the banner and circle toppers I stuck in her cake.

She had a great time and is already planning her 9th birthday party
(her next year for a friend party).
