Last year we decided that with 2 kids who have birthdays 6 weeks apart, we would need to start rotating birthday parties. Last year Audrey had a friend party to celebrate the big 5, and Owen had a party with just family. This year Audrey got the family party and Owen got the friend party. I almost flaked on it with all the stuff we had going on, it snuck right up on me...but I didn't want to get off track with our rotating schedule. We decided to go with a party at Peter Piper Pizza. I know, I know! I almost couldn't do it, but I just know how much the kids love that place. We've only ever gone for birthday parties, so it's a treat to get to go. Owen only wanted pizza and chocolate cake, so it was the perfect answer. He asked for Lightning McQueen & Mater on his cake, so even though I didn't have to plan to much I went with a Cars theme for the invites, goody bags and cake. He picked out the design of the cake and the chocolate frosting, chocolate cake and chocolate fudge filling. If you couldn't guess, Owen loves chocolate. And he'll tell you so! I made little "Race Day Fuel" goody bags {filled with a water bottle with a "Thank You" label, granola bar, Cars fruit snacks, Cars pencil & stickers and glow stick.} Owen helped assemble them and was proud when they were done!

Invitation I made using a free online template.
Some pictures from the party!
3 year old Stats to come after his well-check later this month.

Happy Birthday, Owen! (I feel like I was just reading about you turning 2.5! And now you're 3!)
