October Fun

October to me means it's pumpkin time.  I LOVE anything pumpkin.  Ok, well my sis-in-law brought over Pumpkin Pie Pringles and I didn't LOVE them, but that's probably the only thing.  I found a recipe for Pumpkin French Toast and figured I couldn't go wrong.  I was right, it was so yummy and made a great breakfast for dinner one night.  I even had some pumpkin spice marshmallows to add on top for cute presentation.  Owen had already eaten his by the time I took the pic.

Owen got to bring home Shabbat Sally from preschool one weekend.  He loved her.  Here they are going to bed and watching a movie together.

One day I realized Owen had been quiet for a while.  He was supposed to be eating his lunch.  He had one sandwich square in his hand, the rest still on his placemat and I found him asleep like this.  How does that work????

While Owen still enjoys "Little Einsteins", his new obsession is another Disney Junior show called "Jake and the Neverland Pirates."  For Halloween he decided he had to be 'Jake'.  We even tried to grow out his hair a bit so we could do a fauxhawk w/long sideburns.  It sort of worked.  Audrey is such a great big sister as she decided she would be 'Izzy', the girl pirate character from the show.  I found the commercially made Jake costume for Owen, but the Izzy one was only available in small toddler size.  So we improvised for Audrey.

Here they are with Superman {aka cousin Jay} at my mom's church Fall Festival.

I really wanted to get a picture of this lady's costume.  If you are a fan of "The Hunger Games" then you'll understand why.  I convinced the kids to go to her booth and play the game and then acted like I was taking their picture.  I am not sure she bought it, but that's ok.  I got a picture of it!

Here's Owen after that night.  It was the first of about 3 Halloween events we went to leading up to Halloween.

I took this picture just because I was happy to get another year out of this cute skirt made by a friend.

Just had to add in this picture.  Paul did a garage clean-up and Owen found his "ba-goggles".  He decided to wear them to school with his SpiderMan hoodie the next day.  Silly boy.

October was a nice, busy month around here.

Looks like you need to put a kitchen chair in Owen's bedroom!
