1st Grade Picture ~ Fall 2012
October was also the month for Fall Parent/Teacher conferences. Audrey is doing great in 1st grade. She's almost ready to move to the reading group that does chapter books. {Ever since I told her that she goes to my bookshelves and gets chapter books to read for her homework.} She is right on target for all her reading, writing, math, science, and social studies skills. She is already past grade level goals on sight words and math fact skills. She got the highest marks in all her Social Behaviors/Study Skills. Her teacher says she does usually do that, especially on the first report card but that she really believe Audrey is ALWAYS giving her best at all times. She recognizes that Audrey loves school and loved that she is so enthusiastic about EVERYTHING they are doing.
The conference made my heart smile...as a mom and a teacher. :o)
