Owen's Preschool Picture ~ Fall 2012
I didn't have a "formal" conference with Owen's preschool teacher. Since I work just around the corner and have the chance to see and talk to her everyday we're there, I know how he's doing. He loves to sing the ABCs, count -- as high as the 30's with some missing numbers here and there and a little help, he is also a champ at spelling his name and writing it! He was definitely inspired to write letters by watching big sister! He is also really into asking "How do you spell _______ ?" At preschool he doesn't show it, but he sings ALL the time. In the car, in the bath and everywhere around the house. I asked if he sings in class and his teacher says not really. But I know he's listening because he sings lots of songs I know he didn't hear from around here. He still doesn't even say hi to his, or the other teachers at school in the morning. Once I drop him in class, he comes out of his shell a little. Apparently he is just now (in January!) talking A LOT more--like I know he does normally--and not quite being such the shy kid. He is only shy around others and mostly only when Mama is around. But he is lovey and will give his big, bear hugs to his teachers. So that's good!
