They did ride the train,
and carousel,
slid down huge tube slides,
and the "LadyBug Swings" ride.
We stopped to see how tall everyone was before catching the pig races.
Before they headed back to school on the bus they each grabbed a pumpkin to take home from the pumpkin patch. It was a great experience except that Audrey was a little jealous that one of the girls keep holding my hand and really fighting for my attention. And one point Audrey said "She's MY mom and she is in charge of what we do!" Thinking of course that it meant I would pick whatever Audrey wanted to do and not her other friends. Girls.
Three weeks later I helped chaperone again as they headed to Rockin' R Ranch in Mesa. We listened to the owners perform some music, then went on a rotation of different activities:
Panning for gold,
roping--Audrey was SOOO good at this,
pumping water,
and touring the museum.
The kids also got to design their own brand. Audrey decided to go with "Rockin' A Ranch" since she loves to "rock"--her words. We then ate lunch and headed back to school.
Oh, when Audrey brought home her Kindergarten shirt I laughed at how huge it was! It fit me without stretching!

In order for her to have a little more freedom we altered it a little and came up with this:

the rockin ranch looked like such fun! it's nice they have have been on 2 field trips already. At our school they only seem to go on 1 field trip a year.
