Another 2 months have passed since I've blogged. And just when I was about to type that we haven't been doing anything special I am reminded of that quote over there on the side of my blog--"It's just another ordinary miracle today." And isn't it? The simple daily activities like getting Audrey to/from school, hanging out and doing things with Owen, birthday parties, baby showers, substituting a couple days a week, hanging out with friends when I get a chance, and all the "Mom" duties really are all part of life's daily miracles.
So while it may seem like nothing amazing is going on, I have to remember that it is amazing. This is where I want to be, doing what I want to do. It's not always easy, in fact it's definitely a big struggle to stay home and only work very part time. But it would just be a whole different kind of struggle to be working full time, I've experienced that too. Paul & I just picked what we felt would work best for us and hope to keep it up as long as we feel is possible and desired. 2011-2012 is the 5th year I will not have my own classroom. {Well, I did teach preschool for 2.5 years, but they weren't completely my own classroom, so it wasn't quite the same.} It's still a strange feeling, but I know if it's right I'll get back there someday. For now, substituting gives me a good amount of teaching that fits into my life.
Speaking of miracles, one {or I should say TWO} that are definitely more than ordinary...my brother and his wife welcomed twins Max & Sophee last week. Two of the biggest, little miracles ever.
I'll post some pictures, etc of our October & November happenings soon. I guess I just wanted to take a little time to think and say what I'm thankful for...and this year, it's all the ordinary miracles.
