This past Monday was Owen's cardiologist appt. We saw a PA and I really liked her. She did happen to hear the murmur while we were there. She agreed with his ped that it was most likely an innocent murmur. However, because of the results of his first echo (in the hospital when he was born) she was going to be safe and order another one. The "hole" in the heart that many babies still have after birth was the only issue I was told about in the hospital. But apparently, the pressure in the right ventricle was elevated, and because of this she wants another echo. So, I'm supposed to figure out how to keep this extremely squirmy, mobile boy STILL for this procedure. She told me they'd but a movie on and that maybe I should bring some snacks. Well, he doesn't really watch movies and he doesn't eat snacks yet. I may be introducing Gerber Puffs a month sooner than his sister got them just for this!
The echo is scheduled for this Thursday, the 15th at 9:30.

Owen and his great-grandpa need to get their health issues settled and done with! :D
That's so funny that the doc said they'll put on a movie and have you bring snacks for a 7 month old!
Good luck, that's all I can say!
Zach didn't watch movies either at his first few echos but I had gotten some baby einstein ones and he was totally engrossed in them. (Maybe because he hadn't really watched TV) I also almost always gave Zach a bottle during it but since Owen doesn't really like a bottle, that might not work :) I also brought some new toys that light up since it's usually pretty dark in there. He was even entertained by a flashlight once and a laser light pen! Don't worry, the echo techs are good at quickly getting what they need!
