Visit with Santa

Audrey has never had a picture with Santa. For whatever reason we didn't get one her 1st Christmas when she was just 4.5 months old. We should have because who knows when we will get one. She was definitely not interested in it the past two Christmases (ages 16.5 months & almost 2.5 years). I thought that since we have Owen now that she would try it with him. Nope, she still does not want anything to do with Santa. I wanted to try this soon since I'd been to the malls twice and seen no lines yet. So, the photographer, my mom and I all tried to convince her that it was okay to sit on Santa's lap. We tried to tell her that Santa needed to know what she wanted, but that didn't work. We told her then only Owen would get toys for Christmas and she said, "Ok." Santa tried to bribe her by giving her a book. Well, she got close enough to get it from him and even smiled, but there was no way she was going to get on his lap or even sit next to him on the chair. She hid behind a Christmas tree nearby. So, this is the picture we left with. I almost didn't buy any, but thought at least Owen would have one. Maybe next year we can show her and persuade her to do it, since Owen might be scared of Santa next year!

P.S. We've seen Santa at a couple other places and she still won't go near him. Though if he's in a movie, book, on tv, or a blow up she is sooo excited about him! Go figure!
