New Year's Eve

To start the day off, Audrey & I met up with Randee & Jay at the zoo for their "Noon" Year's Eve event. Oh, a little shout to Jay on this extra special day...Happy 2nd Birthday! They had some snow areas for the kids to play in, as well as many North Pole and South Pole themed games and information. Audrey didn't want to play in the snow and Jay kept throwing little snowballs at her and laughing hysterically. It was funny, even though Audrey didn't think so...at first. Once she realized that Jay would chase her she had fun. So, she'd endure getting hit with a little snow, scream, and then run away so Jay could chase her and get her again. They both laughed like crazy and Audrey did end up throwing a little snow.

Checking out the penguins and feeding the seal.

Audrey & Jay toasting the "Noon" Year!

In the evening we headed over for a wonderful dinner party at Stacy, Rick & Erica's. All the kids had a blast playing, dancing and ringing in the New Year with a balloon drop (ok, it was 8pm, but they didn't know)! Thanks to our hosts for an awesome party!

Now maybe you think that we headed home after the party at 9pm...nope. Audrey didn't fall asleep on the way home, so we stopped by and spent the real New Year's at Aunt Sarah's. We played some Guitar Hero World Tour (I did ok at singing, but NOT at playing the guitar...I basically got kicked out of the band) and Audrey danced the night away to the Mamma Mia! soundtrack. Here is a picture to prove she made it past midnight...she fell asleep a little before 1. What a party girl! Oh and she wore the party hat for about 5 hours straight!

I can't believe she stayed up all night! My kids were wiped out. They were asleep by 10pm with Ethan even putting himself to bed! Sounds like a very full New Year's celebration for you guys. I love that Audrey kept the party hat on all nigh too! Cheers.
