Christmas Fun!

We started out by having a nice, BIG, yummy Christmas Eve dinner with the Neerings side of the fam at Brian & Lori's house (Paul's brother/sil). It was a bit smaller this year with just us 3, Brian's fam (they have 2 boys), and his sister Rae Lynne. Paul's other brother Mark, Julie & their 3 boys were traveling up to Utah and got to spend time with Oma & Opa. Paul's other sister Sarah went to Hawaii (sooo jealous!) to stay with his oldest brother Scott, Tauna & their daughter Camille.
This was the only cute picture I got from this night...and she's holding the "tree" she was eating. But can you make out what her shirt says? "Santa, I can explain", so cute and so fitting! (My Aunt Valerie made it, she has her own vinyl lettering business. You should check out her blog for all the cute ideas she has!)

Christmas Day we opened some presents here just the 3 of us. Santa brought Audrey her first dollhouse, which she loves. One funny thing I've noticed is that the baby and the sister are always taking a nap. Just interesting to me since she doesn't really like to take naps all that much anymore! Her other favorite gifts were a Fisher-Price Animal Sounds Farm from Oma & Opa (perfect to fit right next to her dollhouse) and a WALL-E & EVE t-shirt that lights up. Oh, I guess I should mention that she did have cute holiday pjs on, but when she woke up she insisted on wearing her little ballerina outfit. She took off the big tutu before I got a picture.

Later that evening we headed over to do the whole Christmas dinner thing with some of my family at my mom and stepdad's. Another small gathering with just us 3, my mom & stepdad, my "little" brother Hunter, my Aunt Paula, and brother Paul, Randee & Jay. Audrey & Jay had lots of fun together opening presents and riding in Jay's new wagon to walk around the neighborhood and look at lights. Her favorite gift from Abuelita was by far WALL-E. When it came out in June we were in Texas and I took her to see it with my aunt and cousins. She sat through the WHOLE 1 hr 30 minutes of it! First (and so far the only) movie she sat through at the theater!

I just have to post this picture of a gorgeous rainbow we saw as we drove over to my mom's house Christmas evening. This picture does it no justice (especially with the power lines), but it was the best I could get. By the time we got a picture of it it was really fading.
