Spring 2014

Here's what went on around here in March/April.

I may have mentioned before that Paul's new favorite thing to do is taking the kids on little "adventures".  (Sometimes I come along.)  They find places on the map around here, hop in the car and drive.  Here the went searching for "Apache Tears", which I believe is obsidian.  The kids had fun, they even saw a bat in the tunnel.  Paul has more pictures, on his phone, but he never uploads them to the computer.

During Spring Break we made trips to the Desert Botanical Garden and the Phx Zoo.  The kids loved the Chihuly glass exhibit at the Botanical Garden just as much as I did!

The Butterfly Pavilion is always a hit at the DBG as well.
At the zoo we finally redeemed a free camel ride that Audrey picked when we renewed our membership.
She has seriously been wanting to do this for years.
Cousins at the Zoo
Petting the Stingrays
Alison tried too.

We also made sure to get in some parks days before the hot weather arrived.

One Friday we went to Freestone Park with our neighbors.  The boys had a blast riding all the little rides at this super mini amusement park.  Their favorite was the train that went around the park.  Alison loved eating Owen's Ninja Turtle ice cream bar.

As soon as April rolls around the splash pads start opening up and the kids were ready!

We enjoyed some water play at home too.

Easter Weekend 4/18-20
The Friday before Easter there is a day off school called Spring Holiday {aka Good Friday}.  Paul took the day off and convinced me to go camping for a night.  We went up north past Payson.  The weather was nice.  But it rained off and on the whole day which isn't so great for camping, especially with a non-walking 13 month old.  This was the first time all 5 of us have gone camping together, and also the first time we went solo.  One night, two days was just perfect in my opinion.  :o)

Pictures taken by some girls I teach at church, with Casper the bunny.

Egg Hunt at Aunt Randee & Uncle Paul's.

A friend at school told Audrey if she planted jellybeans then lollipops would grow on Easter.
What do you know, it worked.
Easter Sunday after church

Just some more pictures from our every day life!
Owen loved how tiny this pepper was at Sprouts.  He wanted to take a picture to show everyone at home.

Snacks & a show

She loves to dip!
I bet you couldn't guess what they're watching glued with their eyes like that...
Frozen...if you have kids, or KNOW any kids, you understand this.
Fun car wash that has a spot for the kids to help wash the car as it goes through.
Silly face...she loves shoes, already!
