Live True to the Faith: Gilbert Arizona Temple Cultural Celebration

Something special that goes along with a temple dedication is a cultural celebration.  For the Gilbert Temple Cultural Celebration the program was called "Live True to the Faith".  It included about 2,000 youth from our Temple district.  I teach the 14/15 year old girls in the Young Women's program at church. But since there were so many people involved, not every youth leader was able to go.  I participated in the practices on the ward and stake level, but once it was time to get all 12,000+ youth to practice I had to sit those out.  I would just have to watch it on television or online like so many others.  But luckily each ward in the district was allotted a certain number of tickets to the event, and our Bishop offered some to Paul & I.  I was soooo excited to get to see it in person.  It ended up being a very cold, wet night, but the message and spirit were not diminished.  Here are some links to an article and a link to video of the performance for those interested.  It was amazing!  So privileged to be involved in it, even if just a bit!  And so proud of the youth I work with for making it so amazing.
