Alison is 6 months old!

Birth: 8 lbs, 20 in

1 month: 9lbs 6oz, 22 in

2 months: 11lbs--50%, 23 in--75%

3 months: 12lbs 2 oz, 24 1/2 in

4 months: 13.5lbs--34%, 25 3/4 in--87%

5 months: 14.5lbs, 26 in

6 months: 14lbs 14oz--24%, 26 1/2 in--72%

 

 

 

 

At 6 months Alison likes:

 

• laughing
• smiling--It's her favorite.  ;o)
• Peek-A-Boo...this is the ONLY way I have been able to make her laugh.  The kids do all sorts of things that work.  Not me.
• sitting up!  She is pretty steady, but we still make sure she has a spotter and nice things to land on if she topples over.

• trying new foods!  Ok, not sure if she really likes it yet.  She's had rice cereal since 4 months and we just started pureed fruits this week.  Up first was the traditional applesauce.  First time was full of lots of funny faces, but second day she was all smiles gobbling it up.
• reaching for everything in sight
• cuddling with Mama
• hugs

 

• chewing on her toes

 

At

 6 months Alison dislikes:

 

• not seeing someone's face at every moment.
• when Mama makes dinner, this is her fussiest time of day.
• when Mama hands her off, and not just to someone new.  She has gotten "stranger danger" face and started crying even with grandparents at times.  I'm still the one that usually settles her down best.
• rolling over...actually she won't even try it!  She has done it one time, by accident.  She has finally started to twist her body a little to grab things out of reach, but she will just not get that last bit to roll her over!
• when Owen changes her diaper...at least that is what it looks like in this picture.  Although she was upset before her diaper got changed, not after. 

•  bath time.  I don't remember Audrey or Owen disliking water in any form!  But Alison has just not enjoyed it the past couple months.  I decided it was because she didn't like laying on the mesh sling (I have no idea what it's called), especially since she likes to sit up so much.  So, bought this little tub so she could sit up. At first she wasn't sure about it...

  ...but then she LOVED it! 

Yay for no more screaming through baths!

 

Baby Tres continues to be happy & healthy.  An easy going, patient girl for the most part.  She must have extra patience as the 3rd kiddo, that's for sure.  I know why she came last!  We are all having fun enjoying our grand finale baby grow!
