What's Going On

It's Feb. 27th, so I better post an update before the month is over!

One day in January Paul decided it would be so fun to go on a "Snow Quest".  The kids fell in love with the idea too.  So one day we went, even though I told Paul that it would be hard to find snow because we had just cancelled a snow trip with the youth at church due to no snow.  But I was a trooper and we went.  We didn't find any until we made it all the way to Strawberry, AZ.  It was watery-type snow, but it was snow.  Audrey was ecstatic, it had been about 4 years since she's been in the snow.  Owen never has, and he was a bit too cold and upset about it at first. Then he got excited about it, it was just enough for him on his first snow encounter.

Audrey has been enjoying soccer. She'll start games in a couple weeks. My favorite was watching during the first scrimmage how all 20 kids just followed the ball around and everyone tried to get a kick in. All the teams are named after native AZ animals and her team is...The Coatis. I bet you'll have to look that one up! She's also stayed busy attending friends' birthdays as she waits soooo long to turn 7 herself. It's tough to wait through the whole school year to have your birthday again, she says.

Owen has loved his Gilbert Parks & Rec sports class with Coach "D". His last day was yesterday, but if you ask him he will say it wasn't. I'd like to sign him up for the session that starts after Spring Break, but not sure I'll be up for taking baby out that soon. Thinking I may have sign him for soccer at preschool on Wednesdays while I'm home with baby.

For Valentine's Day we made the BEST sugar cookies ever (Thanks to my friend Amie's recipe). The kids helped a lot and I overlooked the mess because it was so fun to see them into it!

Owen even tried to sneak away with the sprinkles and got BUSTED! ;o)

Looks like a lot is happening before Baby Tres makes her appearance! I can't believe the next post you write may be about her!
