I {HEART} Spring!

Even when you only teach preschool part-time, Spring Break is something to look forward to! Even the preschoolers get "spring fever" and it is tiring! While I was a bit sad that it seemed like everyone else was going to Disneyland, Legoland, the beach, or other fun places and we were stuck at home, we definitely made the best of it and had lots of fun with friends around here!

Monday: Desert Botanical Garden
I got a year membership to the DBG through Groupon. It was $25 for the $75 membership, but I actually got it free with my Groupon referral bucks! So SUPER deal! We took our friends Stacy & Erica with us and enjoyed walking around the beautiful garden. Our favorite part--the Butterfly Pavilion!

Tuesday: Tempe Marketplace Splash Pad
Even though our other friends couldn't join us, the weather was soo good this week that Stacy & I decided to meet up again, this time at the splash pad in Tempe Marketplace because she had already seen the water on. I don't think many people knew because it was not crowded at all. The kids had fun running around in the water and Stacy & I relaxed in the shade and chatted as we watched the kiddos. Next time we'll have to try some froyo from the cleverly placed Mojo Yogurt.

Wednesday: Neighborhood Park & MSA
I do a babysitting co-op with 9 other ladies at church. Some of us never see each other's kids due to schedules, etc and Mamas only see each other while dropping off, picking up, or at church. So I thought it would be fun to get us all together for a little playdate since we didn't have co-op this week. About half of us were able to make it. The kids played well of course, and the Mamas had time to chat.

Later this afternoon we met up with Miss Jamie, Miss Michella and their kiddos, along with a few other friends from school that Miss Jamie was watching. Kiddos had fun on the water slide and the teachers had fun NOT doing any work while being at MorningStar Academy!

Thursday & Friday: Just days spent at home catching up on laundry and other fun cleaning stuff.

Saturday: Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium
I have been wanting to take Audrey here since she was little, especially since they opened the aquarium part. I saved up some coupons and our friends Stacy, Rick & Erica and Shabnam & Lucas joined us for the day. We were there for almost 6 hours! It was a big place. The highlights for Audrey were when she, Papa & Owen rode the train ride and when she & I rode the Skyride. Her favorite animal was the giraffe because it got so close. My favorite were all the baby animals they had around, it sure was spring time at the zoo! The weather was also absolutely perfect.

Today I'm finishing up things around the house and getting ready to get back into our normal routine tomorrow. I prayed for a better March after our February, and it has surely been better. We've gotten to play with our friends, I have had about 4 nights out with my friends without kids, the weather is beautiful, and spring officially started yesterday...gotta love it!
