At 15 months Owen:
- loves to run now that he's long since mastered walking since he started 5 months ago!
- still loves to climb, our chairs at the kitchen table have to be on their side so he won't get up on them. We also have to keep our bedroom door closed (or keep the computer chair turned over too) or we'll find this:
- has gotten almost all 4 of his first set of molars. The last one is really poking through right now. So, I think he's got 12 teeth in all now.
- shakes his head "yes" or "no" to communicate.
- waves and says (a form) of "bye"
- has been saying "Mama" for months now, but we finally heard him say "Papa" the other day. Papa is harder than Dada, but that's what we call Paul.
- loves to make a mess just for the sake of messes.
- has to turn a light switch on /off when leaving/entering a room.
- makes you take your shoes off if you've just gotten back from somewhere. He only likes your shoes on if you're going out of the house!
- loves music and dancing
- mostly wears size 18 month clothes and size 4 diapers still.
- has become OBSESSED with his pacifier. We took it away from Audrey after her first birthday. It was just about 13.5 months when I realized we hadn't taken Owen's away and how he recently just became sooooo attached to it. He used to only have it in his crib and he used it while sleeping if he wanted it. Now he wants it all the time. He knows where it is in the diaper bag and will tear that thing apart to find it if it's not in the right spot. We're slowly weaning him off it. I never had to worry about this with the bottle or pacifier with Audrey. Glad Owen didn't ever use a bottle, that might have been a hard one!
- likes to drink from straws, but will make a mess if left alone!
- is trying to take only 1 nap a day. Most days he'll still do 2, but I can tell the change will be coming soon and I'm not ready!
- will throw, hit, destroy things just for the fun of it. Clearly something I'm not used to, I guess it's a "boy thing". He just smiles and walks away.
- seems to be finished with the phase where he'd bang his head on the floor if he was mad. Hopefully, he'll have less bruises on his forehead.
- has entered a hitting phase. We're helping him to learn that we hug, not hit. He tries to just smile and laugh as if it's ok. We're working on it.
- loves his big sister! Here they are playing at a place called Jump & Shout:

Oh no! Some of the things I have in the future of boyhood! Yikes! I like the shoe thing...interesting. And Fletcher LOVES the vacuum already. He follows me with it wherever we go and he wants to go to it while I'm using it. He is less scared of the thing than our dog. OH...and I weighed him last week and he was 23.4 pounds!!!
