Owen's 5 Month Stats

5 months: 18 lbs 2 oz

I have been without a camera for a few weeks, but finally got a new memory stick and am back in business. (Paul fried mine when he saw a slot to put it into the tv. Too bad it wasn't the right kind of card to go in it!) I lost a few pictures, like the first time Owen tried green beans. They made him gag. But the next couple times he liked them better. He has also tried peas and squash, which he gobbled right up. Carrots made him a gag at first, but he still eats them (right). Next on the list, sweet potatoes! Then on to fruit. He still loves his rice cereal and to hold my hand to help feed himself.

Owen loves to roll and is often in a totally different spot on his activity mats then when I left him or turned my back. He's mastering sitting. He's learning how to do the "tripod" sit. Since he's almost sitting up by himself we got down a new-to-him toy, a Baby Einstein Activity Jumper. I think Audrey loves it almost as much as Owen does! What is it about kids that makes them LOVE old baby toys? Guess because it's like new toys when they see them again.

Look at my sister dancing around for me, isn't she hilarious!

Owen definitely needs me to get all his 6-9 month clothes washed and ready. He's already wearing some, but now his 3-6 month clothes that he can still wear are very snug. Some were already in the "keep" or "donate" pile a long time ago. Well, the weight "limit" does say 16 or so lbs, which he was at his 4 month appt!

My favorite part about Owen growing is how much more Audrey interacts with him. Our car rides are filled with her laughing, to make him laugh. It's sooo funny! It's also still common to find them holding hands and asleep in the back seat (as seen in previous blog posts pictures). His laugh is so funny because he waits until you are done laughing, dancing, smiling, etc and then he laughs at you!

The hardest part of him growing is that he has gotten to the stage where he really knows his Mama! He is now aware when I leave the room, he will watch me and then frown and cry. This has been especially hard since I'm helping out at Audrey's (new) preschool on Tuesdays and when I go to my exercise classes and either Paul or my in-laws watch him.

You have such adorable kids! The purse is actually a Chloe knock off. I buy the cheap purses :)

He is Kenadee's twin! My goodness, how fast they grow! I love it! :) When she is over her RSV we'll have to get together!
