Before I had Owen I decided that I would take a monthly picture of him in the same spot next to a stuffed animal or something to really see him grow. Many of my friends did this and while I took tons of pictures of Audrey each month, I liked the idea of being in the same spot, etc. Of course I forgot, so I just started. So, here's a 3.5 months and 4 months.

Owen is doing so much more these days! You can put him on those activity mats and instead of just
looking around at things he is reaching and grabbing all the toys. He'll talk and talk and talk and play there for a long time (until he realizes I am not right there watching him, then he'll start screaming). He kicks and the motion will turn on some music and lights. He's getting better at tummy time and will tolerate it more.
A while ago I decided I would start putting Owen in his crib for naps because I wanted to start putting him in his room at night after the holidays. Well, I tried a few times with no success. He would sleep for a few minutes and always wake up screaming. I had to stand there if I wanted him to sleep. Pointless. So I gave up and he continued to nap on my bed, in his swing, or on his play mat. I have had a few successes since then (see pic). As noted in my New Years post, the kiddos got sick after Christmas, so we have not moved Owen to his room at night yet. It's strange because when I decided we were going to move Audrey to her room after she turned 4 months, she got croup which got her another month or so in the room with us...hmmmmm. Note to self: If we have another kid be prepared that he/she will get sick for the first time after you decide you want to move them to their own room.
On Jan. 14th, four days after Owen turned 4 months he rolled over for t
he first time....back to tummy. I discovered it one evening while cooking dinner. He was playing on his mat and all of a sudden he just started crying. I went to find him on his belly, and he was crying because one arm was stuck underneath him. I put him on his back and he rolled over once more, this time the arm wasn't stuck! Now, I've tried to get a picture of him doing this but of course he does it when I'm not looking! He's only done it a total of 4 times. He did roll tummy to back once and I tried to get pictures of him doing it again, this was the best I got. We just moved him into size 3 diapers, 2's were a little tight. A lot of his 3-6 month clothes are fitting perfectly right now, but with no room to grow, so he does wear 6-9 month outfits sometimes.
He's becoming a great napper, just like his sister. They can nap in all sorts of places.
