November Rewind

Ok, so apparently I don't ever think anything great is going on to write about so I don't. Then when I get on to write I realize there are things I need to talk about. Mostly because this is the only way I can get some type of "journaling" done. So, forgive me for all the "rewinds", but I'm sure it won't be the last!

Hope your Thanksgiving was filled with yummy food and all the things you're thankful for. We just went to my mom & stepdad's and had dinner with them, my brothers Hunter (14 yrs old now!) and Paul, and of course Randee & Jay. Small, but nice. Audrey didn't eat anything except a roll and pumpkin pie, well 1 bite of pie but all the cool whip on top! She's been obsessed with the word pumpkin since she learned it in October. When we'd pass the corner on Lindsay & Baseline there was a pumpkin patch and she'd say "BIG pumpkin", because there was a huge inflatable pumpkin. (She did this for a few weeks after Halloween too.) It was cute, but you really have to imagine her saying it in her "big" voice. Everytime something is big she uses a deep voice and if it's little she gets super high pictched, sometimes I think only dogs can hear her. I'll have to get a video clip of it sometime. Now ever since Thanksgiving it's all about new words like "Pumpkin Soup" and "Pumpkin Pie". I made pumpkin soup a few times and she now pretends to make it in her play kitchen all the time. She'll just randomly say pumpkin pie during the day. Which is very funny since she only ate one bite of the actual pie.

The day before Thanksgiving we saw Coldplay in concert and it was AWESOME! I've never been to a concert that was quite so...all about the lights. (though maybe Depeche Mode is a close 2nd) It was great though, definitely worth the money...and the wait since it was supposed to be in July but then got rescheduled. I would go again and pay more to sit closer, though we had great seats on the 2nd level left of the stage. I couldn't help but imagine how much fun Audrey would have singing along, she really does "sing" to Coldplay. You should hear her in the car. She knows the tunes and everything! Oh, I also couldn't help but notice that the girl next to me was doing "the wheels on the bus dance", weird.

On November 23rd Paul & I hit the 7year mark! Holy cow! I can't even think I've been married that long and we've been together 10 years in all. We spent a nice afternoon at the movies while my mom watched Audrey. We went to see Twilight. Yeah, I know I had just seen it days before. But Paul actually wanted to see it. Think he was curious what this teenage-vampire story was all about. He liked it (maybe I'm not supposed to say that), but of course had to make fun of some things. Like how the vampires "sparkle" in the sunshine...he didn't think that was very, uh...manly.

On the 22nd we took a tour of Superstition Farm in Mesa. Of course Audrey loved it with all the animals. After the tour and getting to pet & feed the animals we enjoyed some homemade ice cream. The tour guide actually makes it and has a store called Udder Delights on Val Vista & Warner, just down the road from us. It was tasty! Here are some pictures:

I better get started on a post for December so I don't get too behind!
