Busy, Busy...fun, fun! (Tons of pics)

On Friday October 3rd, we went to see Playhouse Disney Live on Tour! We met up with Audrey's girly girlfriends Erica & Scout, and cousin Jay (+parents of course), to eat dinner before the show. We were all sitting in different places, but did manage to see each other there. I did a smart thing and left my memory stick in the computer at home, so got no pictures! Oh well! It had characters from the Disney shows Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, My Friends Tigger & Pooh, Handy Manny and, Audrey's favorite, Little Einsteins. Audrey loved it and her favorite part was doing the Hot Dog Dance. (If you have ever seen Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, then you understand...if not you can hear the ridiculous song on the link.)

Then on Sunday, the 5th, at 6:30am we met down in Tempe to walk for the second year in a row in City of Hope's Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer. It's an easy 3 miles and a nice walk through the zoo. This year we did stay afterwards and go into the zoo where we had lunch and let the kiddos run around since they were in their strollers. After the event, Audrey & the other kiddos we were with started dancing to the music they had playing and one of the ladies from a radio station that was MCing the event had the camera guy come and take a bunch of photos. They said they would be on their website, but I dont' remember what radio station. Oops...will try to find out and post some. This is the only picture I remembered to take and so it's not a very good one, she's holding her walk medal. Goal for next year...run it!

Monday we hosted an event for our moms' group that I called "Going Bananas for Curious George". We watched Curious George and had a banana themed menu. I made banana pancakes (in honor of hottie Jack Johnson--he did the CG soundtrack and my fave song of his is "Banana Pancakes") and chocolate & vanilla banana smoothies. It was yummy!

Thursday we went to a new place called Jump & Shout Play Center in Mesa. Audrey had tons of fun as they have things to climb on with slides at the top and bounce houses. They even had bubble machines that came on every half hour or so and tvs around with cartoons on. The tv was no big deal until "Wow! Wow! Wubzy" came on, that theme song would stop Audrey in her tracks anywhere!

Friday we went on our tour of a firestation in Gilbert. Audrey LOVED looking around the station. She thought the kitchen was fun, the chairs in their theatre room were cozy, and she even wanted to try "sliding down" the pole. Peeking around in each of the firefighter's rooms was her favorite, she thought their beds looked like fun to bounce on (though Mama wouldn't let her, how boring!) When it came time to check out the fire trucks, she didn't care for it. She cried when I put her up in the truck, while every other kid only cared about the fire truck and was bored going through the station. I even got Erica to pose for a picture, but it didn't make Audrey any happier about being anywhere that included touching any part of the truck.

Saturday we went to the Children's Museum of Phoenix. We first went in June for their grand opening weekend and since then a few things have changed. Audrey's favorite parts were the same as our first visit, the market and the room for under 3's. Ok, the funniest thing about these pictures is the little boy who is checking Audrey's groceries. He was scanning all the items and it made real noises. He was trying to scan the carrots when he said kind of under his breath "Ugh, I hate this." It made me laugh so hard...7/8 years old and already hates his job, that he voluntarily chose!

Sunday we had dinner with Oma. She was here from her mission in Salt Lake just for a few days to get some dr stuff taken care of. I had to dress her real cute since we haven't seen Oma since Thanksgiving last year. I tried to get some pictures and she kept making faces, pretending she doesn't like pictures. For someone who doesn't like pictures she sure does pose!

Things have been mellow this week, but with 3 parties to go to this weekend we'll be busy soon enough.
