Audrey Turns 8!

July 29th Audrey turned 8 years old!

Audrey is an amazing big sister and is becoming quite the young lady.  Sometimes she finds it hard to balance helping out and being in charge.  I think it's an oldest child thing.  I know I am used to being in control and having things a certain way and it seems Audrey is like this too.  She works hard to be a good example, but she's a kid and I have to remember that.  I grew up pretty fast around her age, but she doesn't have to and that's also something I need to remember.  She is amazingly creative and I am so glad she has that gene!  Anything that has to do with art, music, dancing, etc...she loves it!  She loves to draw and is even writing her own "book".   I definitely know that's a Giberson gene!  Something special that happens when you're 8 in our church is getting baptized.  Audrey is very excited for this day, it will be later in August so that Greatgrandpa & Greatnana Giberson can attend.
Here's a sneak peak at some pictures my talented friend Jerrae Wilson took of her for this special day. http://www.jerraewilson.com/2014/08/02/children-photographer/

National Cheesecake Day is always around Audrey's birthday, and my mom's whose is on the 30th.  So we headed to The Cheesecake Factory for half price slices to celebrate both birthdays!  Here's the bigger two with cousin Jay saying "cheeseCAKE"!

Earlier this summer Audrey and her Girly Girlz (group of girls we have known since they were all 18 months) had a little tea party at a place appropriately named Girly Girlz Trinkets &Tea. They first did this when they were just 2 years old and ere they are 6 years later!

Audrey loved that they had to have this cut out of Elsa & Anna for her to pose with.
We (the moms) thought it would be so great to see about recreating this picture from their first tea party in 2008.  A couple of the girls are different because not everyone in the group could make it both times, but we did our best and the girls thought it was fun too!

Here are a couple other cute pictures of the girls at age 8.

There are some creative mamas in the group and so we have made a scrapbook page of all the girls throughout the years.  We have ages 2-8.

Another amazing post! I love following your blog! Loved the GG pix, of course. Erica and I are so happy to call the Neerings our friends. Congratulations to Audrey on her Baptism!
