Owen's 8 Month Stats

8 months: Not sure about weight, but I would guess getting pretty close to 20lbs.

At 8 months Owen likes:
  • giving hugs
  • giving pats on the shoulder
  • crawling (since a week after he turned 7 months)
  • playing Peek-A-Boo

  • following Mama around the house
  • crawling after Audrey to see what she's doing
  • playing under the kitchen table
  • eating, Baby Mum Mums and Cheerios are his fave
  • drinking from a sippy cup
  • pulling himself up to stand on EVERYTHING!!!
  • taking naps in his swing
  • generally, just getting into everything!
  • and still likes everything listed under 7 months

At 8 months Owen dislikes:
  • sleeping alone, he's hit the separation anxiety stage full force and can be tough to put in his bed at times.
  • being told "No", he just tries to smile and laugh at you when you say it to him.
  • and still everything listed under 7 months
Owen loves the freedom that he's gotten with crawling. He is on the go, all the time. The only time he likes to sit still is to eat or play. But if you move, he will follow you. We've relocked all our bottom cabinets since he pulls himself up and tries to open everything. I can't believe that he just learned to crawl a few weeks ago and now all he wants to do is stand up. I thought he was going to be my mellow kid and not worry about trying to catch up to Audrey. I think I was wrong. Any bets on when he will start walking? Audrey started at 9.5 months!
He is most comfortable wearing size 9-12 month clothes and even has some 12-18 month clothes he can wear. He wears a size 2 shoe, which is what Audrey wore when she started to walk. He has the BEST laugh, it's just like his sister's. You really have to smile when he smiles at you. I think his smile is a bit of trouble!

He is so cute! Kenadee weighed 23 pounds at her 9 month visit! She is a crawling machine too but is still working on pulling up on things :) So glad your family is doing well!!
