2 MONTHS with 2 Kids

Owen is 2 months old. In the past few weeks he's started smiling and starting to "talk" to us. He is awake more during the day, lots of cat-naps, but still takes a good solid nap in the morning and afternoon. He has been going to bed around 9/10pm and will sleep anywhere from 5-7 hours! This has been a dream! Audrey didn't really do this until she was 3 months. He is a good baby, just like his sister. He's a little more needy, but he just loves his Mama--what can I say?? Audrey is still doing really well with him, still helping a lot (which sometimes isn't really helpful or could be dangerous). She kisses him all the time and really can't get enough of him. Think they are the perfect age apart.

Since Halloween we've been busy having fun with our friends. We've been making use of our Zoo membership and are enjoying the local parks. This is the best time for that here in AZ. Though I could have done without the (almost) record heat of 90 yesterday. It is actually November you know! I hate the cold, but 90 when Thanksgiving is in 2 weeks is a little much...even for me.

Audrey's dance class is over and for this next session I decided to sign her up for a "Mini Tumblers" class that started on the 11th. She told me she had lots of fun. I saw her do somersaults, the balance beam and do a front flip down a wedge into a tunnel. I think she'll love this class! Oh, and check out her handwriting. She's been working on it in preschool and I've been so surprised! We were drawing and writing on the wall while she was taking a bath. I did a model and she copied, I didn't even help her write the letters. Some parts are hard to see, but they're all there, the 'Y' is underneath the 'E'! I especially like the 'E' that has more than 3 lines!

I'm 2 months old!


He really loves the new swing Abuelita bought him. We have a travel-size swing that we used with Audrey, but he really seems to love this one more. Probably because he is up higher and can see everyone. Plus, he loves the mobile on top!


In his new Bumbo chair! Never had one with Audrey, and actually I thought it was a ridiculous idea. But got a good deal on a never used one on craigslist, so I thought why not? (He actually is smiling here.)
