Let the summer fun begin!

Audrey's first year of attending preschool and my first year teaching it have come to an end. (Ok, so really it was only 6 months, not the whole school year.) The preschool celebrated with Simchat Aliyah: A Celebration of Moving Up...that means preschool graduation. The Pre-K kids got to wear caps and get diplomas, and the other kiddos got certificates for completing their classes. Each class had to prepare a song to sing at the graduation for all the families. All the classes did such a great job, though I have to brag that my 3's Class got a lot of compliments! I picked "We Are a Family" by Jack Hartmann for them to sing, and I taught them the sign language to it. It was a big hit and they did SUCH a good job with a whole crowd of people staring at them and taking pictures/video. I was so proud! :o) Of course I was proud of my Audrey, too!
Here are some pictures of Audrey in the graduation. I will post some video of her singing with her class once I get some.

Ready for graduation

The whole preschool gang (Audrey in the middle, I'm in the back covered by other people!)

Audrey singing opening songs with her "dragon" voice, can you tell? She told us she was "not going to sing with 'princess' voice, no thank you."

2's Class singing their song "I Wanna Go To the 3's Class!"

Audrey improvising her own dance moves to add to the song. Notice how her classmate is staring at her like "what are you doing?" She certainly does not have her Mama's stage fright!

I also wanted to post a couple pictures from Mother's Day. We went out to breakfast with Uncle Paul, Aunt Randee, Jay, Abuelita (my mom) and Uncle Hunter. Here is Audrey relaxing after finishing our breakfast at Wildflower Bread Co.

And here is a picture of the cute stuff Audrey made for me at school, along with a plant from my mom and one from Audrey & Paul.

Already since our last day of school on May 21st we've: *had dinner at my aunt's house to visit with another 2 aunts in town from TX on Friday night *attended a birthday party for a girl in my class on Saturday afternoon *visited Uncle Mark, Aunt Julie & boys for a BBQ on Saturday evening and *had ribs that Aunt Rae Lynne made in her new smoker at Oma & Opa's house on Monday!
We have lots of fun stuff planned already for this week and Audrey also starts swim lessons tomorrow evening. We can't wait to have lots more summer fun!

P.S. 6 weeks 1/17/09 & 6 months 5/23/09
