PT Update

Here's our report so far since the 3 day training:

Daytime -- Tuesday, the 19th (so you could say Day 5), she had no accidents and stayed accident free until this past Monday, the 25th (Day 11). Almost a whole week! This even included a couple trips to Target, WalMart, her aunt's house and an Ice Cream Social at a local park with spray pad. She was at her aunt's house all day on Friday, while I worked and had no accidents there either. She had one yesterday and one today, too. But overall, I think she's still doing well.

Nights -- Like I mentioned in the last post, during the 3 day training she was dry all nights. Then there were 4 nights in a row of changing sheets in the middle of the night. As of last night, we've had 6 more dry nights in a row. I have also been getting up around 11 or midnight to take her potty, sometimes she goes and sometimes she doesn't.

Naps -- She has never had an accident during naptime, and she usually takes anywhere from a 1.5-3 hour afternoon nap.

We have still been working on Audrey verbally telling us she needs to go potty. Her routine was to just strip her bottoms and panties off and run to the bathroom. Which is good, but she can't just do that anywhere! She was also playing in the sink a lot because we were leaving the door open. We then decided to get those lovely looking childproof door knob covers. Now she has to ask to go potty because we have to open the door for her. We do leave it open at night in the off chance that she needed to use it without waking us up, which we don't think she has done so far. I was impressed that while were at the park at the ice cream social for my mom's group, she told me when she had to go potty! She was wearing swim "panties" (ok by the Lora Jensen method), so I wasn't sure what she would do but she was playing in the spray pad and ran up to me and said "Ewww, gross!" Which is one way she tells us she has to go potty.

Tomorrow, we're off to go camping with Paul's family until Sunday. We went last year at the same time and we had fun, so we'll see how it goes with a newly potty trained 2 year old.

Oh, a note about terrible twos...I think most of it was from "cabin fever". We stayed home for almost a whole week without having friends over or anything. Not to mention I was at her side 24/7 so she got tired of that quick. She is pretty independent and social, so it was hard for her. Once we got out and about I've seen my sweet Audrey come back to me. Unfortunately, she still has some terrible two's moments, but I guess that's just part of parenting we have to go through...right???
